MARKO ILIC MOVES TO BELGIUM KV KORTRIJK

First choice in shirt of Serbia U21 joins Belgium team

First choice in shirt of Serbia National youth U21 squad, rated as one of most talented young goalkeepers in Europe, Marko Ilic moves to Belgium Jupiler Pro League club KV Kortrijk.

Contract is signed on a four years, till summer 2024.

Born 22 years ago in Novi Sad, Serbia, Marko comes from notable football academy of FC Vojvodina Novi Sad.

With just 17 years he has joined to senior team of FC Vojvodina, his debut in senior football was in 2016-17 when he was loaned to 2.division FC Proleter Novi Sad (May 2017, FC Proleter vs FC Dinamo Vranje 1:2). Season 2017-18 he has spent in shirt of FC Vojvodina with 01 cap, last league round (May 2018, FC Cukaricki vs FC Vojvodina 1:6).

On summer 2018 he has made a right choice and signed with Serbian Super Liga club FC Vozdovac 1912 Belgrade. So in season 2018-19 he made in total 30 caps, 38 goals conceded, 11 clean sheets, 2,669 minutes on pitch. 

In 2019-20 Marko has achieved 26 caps in FC Vozdovac, conceded 35 goals, 07 clean sheets with 2340 minutes total played. Interesting is, in same season, from 07 penalty shoots, he has saved 05, with amazing 71% succes rate.

In just started 2020-21 he has achieved in FC Vozdovac 05 games, 07 conceded goals, 01 clean sheet, 450 minutes on pitch.

Since summer 2019 Marko play regularly in starting 11 of Serbian National Youth U21 team, on UEFA European U21 Championship Qualifying matches he has 08 caps, 09 conceded goals, 02 clean sheets and 720 minutes on pitch.

At this September, by "Transfermarkt" Marko market value is estimated on 800,000.00 euro.

His new team KV Kortrijk has started great season 2020-21 in Jupiler Pro League, after four rounds they are on high fourth table position with 07 points (02 wins, 01 draw, 01 defeat).
