    Football coach, born on 10th october 1966.

    Born in Romford, London, England, considered as one of greatest Arsenal players of all time, 22 years member of a squad, 14 full years team captain, former English National "A" team captain (1994-1996), living legend of Arsenal London and English football at all,

    Tony Alexander Adams, laureate of MBE - Most Excellent Order of the British Empire.

    Whole of his playing career he played as Central defender of Arsenal, as coach, Tony Adams has UEFA Pro A license, and worked in several clubs as head coach, also graduated "Sport Science" at "Brunel University London".

    After his playing career finished, on summer 2002, Tony Adams first engagement was from november 2003, as head coach of English 1.league club Wycombe Wanderers, (53 games, 12 wins, 21 draw, 20 looses), than on year 2005, started to work as scout of Arsenal London FC for states Italy, France and Netherland, on same year Tony Adams new engagement was to work in Netherland football club Feyenoord Rotterdam, as young team U 19 coach, than on summer 2006 he find a job in FC Utrecht, where he become head coach assistant, shortly after it, Tony returned to England, this time as assistant of Harry Redknapp in Premier League club Portsmouth, than worked as assistant to Kevin Bond, also in Portsmouth, while he was assisting him, Portsmouth manage to won in 2007/2008 English FA Cup, on 2008th year, Tony Adams was appointed as head coach of Portsmouth (22 games, 08 wins, 07 draw, 07 losses), where he stayed till year 2009.

    On may 2010, signed contract with Azerbaijan Premyer Liqa club FC Qabala, where he was a head coach in almost complete two seasons (44 games, 17 wins, 15 draws, 12 losses).

    On april 2017 he was appointed as head coach of Spanish Primera Division club CF Granada, leaded them on last seven league matches (seven defeats).

    Totally, in his coaching career, as head coach, Tony Adams leaded his teams on 127 matches, won on 38, draw on 43 games, and loose on 46.

    Also, Tony has worked as sport director of Azerbaijan FC Qabala, as sport director of Spanish Granada CF and as technical director of Chinese Chongqing Dangdai Lifan.

    Playing career, Adams passed youth school of Arsenal London (1980-1983), for senior squad of Arsenal debuted in November 1983, in 1.Division match against Sunderland, he was than just 17 years and four weeks old, than, in following two decades he was member of Arsenal, only club in his playing career. 

    Together with Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn and Steve Bould, Adams was part of the well known "famous four" that lined up in Arsenal"s defense in those years. 

    On New Year’s Day 1988, with 21 years turned on, Tony Adams has become Arsenal FC captain, club history youngest ever, in stayed on that position till his retirement, year 2002 

    Tony Adams played amazing 670 games for Arsenal London in all competitions and scored 48 goals.

    During his rich career he won many trophies, with Arsenal Tony has 13 trophies, four times he was English champion, once he won in UEFA Cup Winners Cup, three times won in English FA Cup, FA Community Shield winner three times and two times took the trophy in Football League cup winners:

    Biggest Adams achievements on international level with Arsenal was winning in UEFA European Cup Winners Cup on season 1993/1994

    In first round they throw out FC Odense Denmark (1-2, 1-1), second round Standard Liege Belgium (3-0, 7-0, scored one goal on second match), third round against Italian side FC Torino, game was played on march 1994 (0-0, 1-0, Tony scored only goal for Arsenal on `66th min of match), semi-final, Paris Saint-Germain vs Arsenal London, first match played in Paris 1-1, in London revanch Arsenal won 1-0 and passed to final, that final match was played in Copenhagen, Denmark on 04th May 1994, between Arsenal and Italian Parma FC, Arsenal won 1-0 with Alan Smith goal, scored on 22th min of match.

    In season 1999/2000 Tony Adams played with Arsenal final match of European UEFA Cup, on 17th may 2000, match was played also in Copenhagen, Denmark, but this time Arsenal loose final, in regular 90 minutes result was 0-0, same result was also after extra time, but in penalty series they were beaten 4-1, from Turkish club Galatasaray SK Istanbul.

    National team career, For England youth U 21 team played on five matches, scored one goal (1985-1986), for England "B" team played on 15 matches, with 05 goals (1986-1987), debuted for England "A" against Spain in year 1987, also played on Euro 1988, and scored one goal for England there, from year 1994-1996 he was England Captain, also Tony Adams was a member of English squad on World Championship 1998, played in France, resuming, from year 1987 till year 2000, Tony played for National "A" team of England, 66 official matches and 05 goals scored.

    First goal which Adams scored for England was against former Yugoslavia, on november 1987, in European qualifications game, England won 5:1

    Biggest match that he played for National team of England was on UEFA Euro Championship 1996, hold in England, semi-final match, 26th June 1996, England - Germany, game was played on old Wembley stadium, in front of 75,862 spectators, Tony Adams was team captain on that Euro 1996 tournament, and leaded his squad on this historic game of English football, their biggest achievement on European Championships ever. On third minute of a  game, Shearer scored leading goal for England, shortly after it (13th min), Kuntz equalized result, with this result (1-1), game was finished, same result was also after extra time, than on penalty series, after dramatic moments, Germany won 6-5, in sixth series Southgate missed penalty shoot for England.

    Last match as player of England A team and as team captain was also the last match of the old Wembley stadium, october 2000, again old rivals England vs Germany , this time World Cup 2002 qualification game, and England loose again, with result 0:1, Hamann scored only goal on that match for Germany (on 14th min).

    On june 1999 Tony Adams was ordered by Grand Cross star, as Member of the most excellent order of British Empire, MBE, Type Order of Chivalry. This recognition is given to the British nationals or anyone who has made a significant achievement for the United Kingdom.

    In june 2004 Adams was inducted into the "English Hall of Fame" in recognition on his impact on English game. 

    Retired on summer 2002, and last match that he played in his career was a Premier League match against Everton, played on Arsenal home ground.

    Considered as one of the greatest Arsenal players of all time, by the club`s own fans he was included in the England Football league 100 Legends, recognized as most successful captain in the history of the club. 

    A statue honoring Adams was unveiled at Emirates stadium, London, on 09th December 2001, Tony Adams is one of three Arsenal London legends who were honored with monument, second one is Manager Herbert Chapman, third one scorer Thierry Henry.

    During his playing career Tony Adams had a loots of problems with alcoholism, after successfully winning battle against it, on year 2000, founded "Sporting Chance Clinic", Inspired by his own recovery from alcoholism and based on his life experience. "Sporting Chance Clinic" has since its foundation developed into one of the world’s most innovative centers for the treatment of behavioral problems among professionals, but also with amateur sports people.
